This custom floating TV wall was completed in Snellville, GA 30039, in the eastern Atlanta metropolitan area. The project transformed a large blank living room wall into a modern entertainment feature with a floating TV panel, marble-look surfaces, vertical wood slats, concealed lighting, and streamlined storage.
The design was developed from our A-001 Floating TV Panel Media Wall, part of the A Series Architectural TV Walls. We customized the model around the dimensions of the room, the large television, the existing controls on the wall, and the client’s preferred combination of warm wood and light finishes.
From an Empty Wall to a Complete TV Feature
Before installation, the room had a wide, undecorated wall with no dedicated storage, architectural structure, or concealed media connections. Its generous width provided enough space for a substantial TV wall, but the design needed to remain visually light and avoid the depth of a traditional built-in entertainment center.
The solution was a layered composition centered on the television. A raised decorative panel establishes the main viewing zone, while full-height wood slat sections frame it on both sides. A long floating cabinet connects the entire composition horizontally and provides practical closed storage without occupying floor space.
Marble-Look Decorative TV Panel
The central TV section was finished with large marble-look decorative panels. Their soft gray veining introduces the appearance of stone while maintaining the clean, contemporary character of the room.
Warm LED lighting was installed around the perimeter of the panel. The illumination separates the central surface from the wall behind it, creates additional depth, and makes the television area feel architectural rather than simply wall-mounted.
These surfaces are part of the range of decorative wall panels and finish materials that can be selected and combined for custom media wall projects.
Vertical Wood Slats and Warm Contrast
Dark wood-tone slat panels were installed on both sides of the TV composition. The vertical lines add texture, visually increase the height of the wall, and create a warm contrast with the light marble-look center.
On the right side, the slats continue around the corner while accommodating the existing thermostat and wall controls. This allows necessary room elements to remain accessible without interrupting the overall design.
The wood finish was coordinated with the long countertop above the floating cabinet, creating a consistent material connection across the entire wall.
Floating Cabinet and Concealed Technology
A full-width floating cabinet provides storage for media equipment and everyday items while preserving an open area beneath the unit. Flat, handle-free white fronts keep the cabinet visually quiet and allow the TV panel and wood textures to remain the main design features.
The television, soundbar, power connections, and media wiring were integrated into the project so that visible cables would not distract from the finished wall.
The final result combines:
A large wall-mounted television
Marble-look decorative panels
Warm perimeter LED lighting
Full-height vertical wood slats
A long floating storage cabinet
A coordinated wood countertop
Integrated soundbar placement
Concealed power and media wiring
Customized from the A-001 Model
The A-001 model provides a starting design direction rather than a fixed layout. For this Snellville home, its proportions, panel coverage, cabinetry, lighting, and material combination were adapted to the width of the room and the size of the television.
The completed wall retains the defining elements of the model—a floating central panel, vertical slats, integrated lighting, concealed technology, and streamlined storage—while giving the project its own material character.
