Brick Fireplace Media Wall with 100” Linear Fireplace - Melbourne Area, Florida
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This custom Brick Fireplace Media Wall was designed and built as a true statement piece for a modern Florida home. The project stands out due to its scale, premium materials, and level of craftsmanship.
The ceiling height in this space is approximately 10 feet, which allowed us to create a large, visually powerful composition without overwhelming the room. The media wall was carefully proportioned to balance height, width, and depth.
At the center of the design is a 100-inch ultra-slim electric fireplace, supplied by the client. Installing such a wide and narrow fireplace required precise framing and exact alignment within the brick surface.
Above the fireplace, a large-format TV with an estimated 90-inch diagonal screen was mounted. The TV and fireplace are perfectly aligned on a single vertical axis, creating a clean and symmetrical layout.
MATERIALS & FINISHES
• Brick: Old Chicago brick, white washed
• Grout: white
• Installation method: individual brick installation, not panels
• Wood accents: solid wood shelves and bench
• Wood finish: very dark stain, near black
• Protective finish: polyurethane clear coat
The brick was installed piece by piece, which places this project firmly in the luxury category. This method creates depth, shadow variation, and an authentic masonry look that cannot be achieved with prefabricated panels.
The dark-stained wood accents contrast sharply with the white brick, adding warmth and visual rhythm to the composition. All wood elements were sealed with a protective polyurethane layer for durability.
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS
• Custom framing for a client-supplied fireplace
• Structural reinforcement for large-format TV
• Hidden wiring and clean cable management
• Precision masonry layout and alignment
• Seamless integration of brick, wood, and drywall
This project demonstrates how a brick fireplace media wall can become the architectural focal point of a living space when scale, materials, and execution are handled correctly.
